Behind the Scene's

Well, we at Hare's Hair have decided it's time for an update, so on Sunday we had a photo shoot to get a new image for the front page of our website.
After a month of planning hair and make-up ideas, we finally got to shoot with the wonderful Ian Golding, renown hair photographer and his wife Liz Golding, the well know Brisbane stylist.
The hair was created by Reichen and Young, two of our senior stylists here and make-up by Jo Smith, who also joins us in the salon on Tuesday's, Friday's and Saturday's.
It was a very successful afternoon.
Now comes the hard part, choosing one image from all the great shots!!!

Margaret Working On the Next Cover of Queensland Brides

Our wonderful leader and mentor, Margaret, recently went out on location to shoot the next cover of Queensland Brides.

The setting was the lovely grounds and marquee of Victoria Park Golf Course located at Herston.
Joined by the talented Abigail Johnston from Latonas Professional make-up, it was an exciting day. Driving around in golf carts was one of the highlights. But creating the look for coming bridal trends was the reason for being there and both Margaret and Abigail have excelled themselves.
We can't show you too much, you'll have to go and buy the magazine to see the beautiful looks they created, but I can show you one behind the scenes shot

Reichen Hodsdon Styling for Sportsgirl Summer Collection

Our very own National Australian L'Oreal Guest Artist for the H3 Team, Reichen Hodsdon, was recently selected to create and work on the hair team for the Sportsgirl Summer Collection here in Brisbane during fashion week.

Reichen, who is also represented by agency Arc Creative,  was joined by three other “Arc” team members where they created a Summer look of bouncy wavy big beach hair, complemented with a nude face makeup and popped neon lip.  The show was held at the amazing Portside venue Moda at Hamilton in front of Qld and National Sportsgirl representatives.

Our wonderfully talented and quiet achiever, Marselly Conway, recently had the great honour of being asked to be part of the L'Oreal Team for the Myer's Spring Sumner launch in Sydney last week.
The glittering event was held at the Carriageworks and featured the face of Myer's, Jennifer Hawkins.
With over 60 models to prep, the team, headed by Sydney hairdresser Brad Ngata, created the most fabulous looks including some models with slicked hair and gold leaf through it.

Editorial and Fashion shoot of Samantha Harris

Hare's Hair recently took part in the very sucessful Identity Parades held here in Brisbane. The show featured the latest big name model in Australia, Samantha Harris.
During the hustle and bustle of models, hairdressers, stylists, dressers and makeup artist getting everything perfect for the viewing public there was a PR editorial and fashion shoot of Samantha Harris for a feature in the current edition of Style Magazine.

I.H.S Qld State Championships Winners Reichen Hodsdon Alicia Hodge

Stylist Reichen and Alicia both placed successfully at Qld State Championships for 2010/11.  Reichen placed 2nd for State Bridal, and Alicia placed 3rd, as well as placing 2nd for State Junior Catwalk.
